Important Product Recall Notice for Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatches

We have been contacted by Google, the owner of Fitbit, and advised of a potential battery issue affecting the Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 smartwatches (device/s).

In January 2025, a firmware update was automatically rolled out to all affected devices. If you did not manually update your firmware, your device would have undergone a factory reset, with the new firmware installed during setup. Some users have reported that this update impacted battery capacity and charging performance.

To determine if your device has been affected by the firmware update, please check your device with Google. If your device is impacted, you may be eligible for a cash payment equivalent to US$50 as appeasement from Google. You do not need to return your device to receive the firmware update. 

What to do next:

  • You must check if your device is impacted and register for appeasement before 21 January 2026.
  • The appeasement is subject to Google’s Terms and Conditions. The value will be converted to AUD from USD and may fluctuate based on the exchange rate at the time you select your appeasement.

Important Product Recall Notice for AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boots

We have recently identified and notified affected customers of a potential fault within the high heel of the AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boot (SKU numbers AE897SH92FZZ, AE897SH35JOI and AE897SH76IBB). The satisfaction and safety of our customers is our top priority. As a result, we are undertaking a product recall for all AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boots sold between 5 March 2023 and 3 August 2023.

These boots were sold in brown, black and beige.

THE ICONIC has identified instances of the heel of the AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boot snapping.  In the event that the heel of the boot snaps during use, there may be a risk of fall or other injury.

What to do next:

We kindly ask you to stop wearing your AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boots immediately and follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible to initiate a return of the AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle boot by:
    a) Contacting us on Live Chat on our website, www.theiconic.com.au and www.theiconic.co.nz, between Monday – Friday: 8am to 9.30pm AEDT, Saturday – Sunday: 9am – 9.30pm AEDT; or 
    b) Calling us on +61 2 8294 8828 (Australia) or 0800 461 244 (New Zealand) between Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm AEDT.
  2. Provide Your Purchase Details: When you contact our Customer Service team, please have your order number ready as well as the email, address, mobile or shipping address you used when placing the order. 

  3. Return the AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boot to THE ICONIC: Our Customer Service representatives will provide you with instructions for the return of the product to us. We will provide you with a free pre-paid returns label that you can print at home or at an Australia or NZ post office. Attach the label to your parcel before dropping the satchel off at any Post Office or postbox near you. If you have purchased more than one pair of boots you will only need to print one label and send all items back in one satchel. Our Customer Service representative will also be able to support you to return the AERE Square Toe Leather Ankle Boot if you no longer have the product including where you have sold or gifted the product to another person.
  4. Refund: We will refund your purchase price of the AERE Square Toe Ankle Boot back to your original payment method once the parcel arrives at our Fulfilment Centre. If you paid for the item using store credit, the credit will be returned back to your account with THE ICONIC. This refund may take 3-5 business days, once your return has been processed.
